Bigger Than a Dream

Kevin recently organized all our pictures from Denmark, getting me that much closer to finally creating a "coffee table" book of all our pictures. The above are all from the area of Kastellet in Copenhagen. Most of the time, talking about Denmark is strange and it feels like a crazy, magical dream that I never could have imagined on my own. I know I speak for both of us when I say, our hearts are unbelievable full with all that went it to making our once in a lifetime trip happen. It still completely blows our minds.

Sometimes, we get caught up in where we aren't. We can't buy a house for a long time. We're still working on paying off college loans. Having children isn't the best idea in the moment. Going on trips as often as we would like is not possible. Being as generous as we really want to be all the time, isn't usually do-able.We know all this and more than we even know, will come in it's own time. Even still, at times, it's a hard pill to swallow.

Then we remember the incredible things God has placed in our path already. Things like Denmark, and zipping over to Paris for a whirlwind 27 hours (I can't forget Paris). Denmark was a gift and a dream we never knew we'd be given. Going overseas in any fashion wasn't even something we'd talked about as a one-day dream! God had bigger plans. And God has bigger plans.

God can do anything you know, far more than you can ever imagine, guess or request [or dream!] He does it not by pushing us around, but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:20

God knows our hearts. He knows our desires. He knows what is best for us. He will provide. He will give us gifts we couldn't even imagine. Because God is bigger than our dreams!

  1. Finances can be so frustrating! It's so wonderful that you both got to experience this trip!

  2. This was such an incredibly experience for you both, and a major blessing. We've had a few moments of our own recently where God has provided above and beyond our needs in jaw-dropping ways. I've always believed in His greatness--but I can still be awestruck so often.
