Sar, one of my favorite bloggers since the beginning of my time in blogging, created this spectacular video, a lip sync compilation of lots of bloggers lip syncing to T-Swift's Shake it Off.
Megan from Mr. C and Me
Micah from Unabashedly Me
Veronica & Kevin from Passion, Pink, and Pearls
Neely from A Complete Waste of Makeup
Tamara (and her sister/daughter/niece) from Lehmann Laughter
Holly from Faith, Hope, and Baseball
Sar from Life of Love
Yeah, so that's definitely the most embarrassing thing I've participated in publicly on the interwebs EVER, and that's not even Kevin and I's full video that we made...not sure I'm ready to share that.
In other news, since I'm trying to get myself back into blogging more regularly again I thought I'd go for a new challenge. The only month long blog challenge I've done before is actually one Sar put together a couple years back (in the archives, July 2012). Brave Love, a new blog to me, is hosting this one. Join us! See button over on right side--->
I obviously missed the first day, and let's be real I'll probably miss several days and do combo posts, so here's yesterday's and today's!
Today's prompt: "Imagine the front sleeve of a hard cover novel. Give us your "About the Author" so we can get to know one another, and for fun tell us what your imaginary novel would be about."
In her mid-twenties, Veronica Lee Burns is the voice behind the typed words of Passion, Pink and Pearls. Her blog has been running since December 2011 after she said yes to the dress and decided to document the wedding process and the busy final year of college. Upon graduating from the University of Oklahoma, BOOMER SOONER, she promptly got married and started her career in interior design. Blogging continued to be a beloved hobby and her love for the community grew stronger ever after. Her heart, rooted in the Lord, is for readers to see Christ's love through her words, that her story and experiences would encourage others to live boldly for Him, and that that her life would be continually shaped by the most creative Creator.
That was so weird to write! But in continuing today's prompt, if I were to write a book it would be a love story because I'm a sucker for love stories. But I'm not a very good story teller so that's about the extent of that answer.
Today's prompt: Write about what makes you happy, from the little joys to the huge game-changers.
I'm going literal with this one, since I'm running short on time seeing as how I'm doing this over my lunch hour. So here we go:
most recent happy little joy: spending days with my husband. Since he works Saturdays, Sundays are usually our only day together. But this weekend he took Saturday off, worked Sunday, and we had Monday off together.
most recent happy huge game changer: college students. Kevin and I embarked on serving our college ministry after we got married and we've never looked back. Loving the next generation has spurred my heart like nothing else. I'm so excited and overjoyed to get to spend time and serve them. Kevin and I are praying next for the college student we will mentor since we are signing up to be mentors!
also this was a snippet of my weekend, in case you didn't already catch it on instagram:
