The Lord calls each of us to be a leader. If you don't believe me, read a book from any Christian author and better than that read what the Bible has to say about leadership, you are a leader. You are a leader in your home, in your workplace and in your community.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
But it is not this way with you, but the one who is greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant. (Luke 22:26)
There is one body. But it has many parts. Even though it has many parts, they make up one body...God has placed each part in the body just as He wanted it to be...(1 Corinthians 12: 12-18)
You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you a example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. (James 13:13-17)
See friends, we are each called to be leaders in our community serving one another as Jesus served those around him during his time on this earth. Our time here is temporary. What will you do in your time on earth? What will you be remembered for?
Some of you may think that you can't do a whole lot of you may not know where your field is. But the Lord says you are strong my friends! He brought you the power of the Holy Spirit when you asked Him to come into your life. Your field is where you are, Go unto your Judea!
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my winesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8)
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. (Galatians 6:9)
