Women's Bible

I'm one of those people that holds onto my Bible for as long as I possibly can but when I learned that I could review a women's study Bible for B&H Publishing Group I was all in. My everyday Bible is a small NIV Bible that I received as a graduation gift from my youth group back in 2008. I'm holding onto it as long as I can. It's got my name engraved in it and recently I had my new married name engraved on it above. I've underlined in it, made notes and left bookmarks all through it.

I've always been interested in a Bible that can give me a little more background information or help me connect to other parts of the Bible. That's exactly what the Women's Study Bible does.

As the website describes,
The Study Bible for Women will equip you to reach deep into God’s Word. Perhaps the single most powerful aspect of this Bible are the “threads” of specialized study thoughtfully woven throughout, pointing you to God’s larger story and allowing the Holy Spirit to write His revealed truths on your heart.

Features include extensive commentary notes, word studies, answers to hard questions, doctrinal notes, Biblical womanhood articles, character profiles, Written on My Heart applications, extensive book introductions, presentation pages, in-text maps, charts & timelines, full-color maps section and concordance.

It has already greatly contributed to my Bible study time. I can't do a study without both of my Bibles on the table now. I highly recommend it! We recently purchased Kevin a study Bible too and he tells me every day how much it has enriched his study time.
It comes in a leather, and a more fun look too with a brown and teal leather, and a pink and brown! Find the leather one here.
On the website you can purchase it, or you can download a review of it too!
And if you're a blogger you can request to review this bible or several others on your own blog.
What kind of Bible do you guys have? And would you use a study Bible?

  1. I love the extra info those Bibles offer. Plus, it never hurts that they're pretty too ;)

  2. Oh the brown and pink one is so pretty :) I love my Bible but it is very tiny (fits in my purse very easily) something like this would be nice for everyday use. I might have to convince Adam that we need to make this purchase :)
